  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter softened
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream cold
  • 1 cup Chocolate Pudding Mix instant
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • as needed Gummy Worms
  • as needed Plastic Spiders
  • optional Chocolate Shavings

Instructions
  1. Crush chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined and fluffy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth.
  5. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Layer the ingredients in a 9x13 inch baking dish: start with half the cookie crumbs, followed by the chocolate pudding, then the cream cheese frosting, and finally the remaining cookie crumbs.
  7. Decorate with gummy worms, plastic spiders, and chocolate shavings (optional). Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use high-quality chocolate sandwich cookies. You can also add other Halloween-themed candies to the top for extra decoration. Make ahead and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
