- Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides to lift the fudge out later.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir frequently.
- Add chocolate chips to the melted butter. Stir until smooth and melted.
- Stir in sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt until completely smooth.
- Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Optional: Top with mini marshmallows before refrigerating.
- Lift fudge out using parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. You can also add chopped nuts, chocolate shavings, or sea salt for extra texture and flavor.
