  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • 8x8 inch baking dish
  • Whisk or spatula
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, chocolate chips, butter, and salt (if using).
  3. Stir frequently until butter is melted and the mixture is smooth. Reduce heat as needed to prevent burning.
  4. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened and glossy.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts (optional).
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  8. Lift fudge from dish using parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon or other spices for a unique twist.
