Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Raw Pumpkin Seeds (Pepitas) rinsed and patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon optional

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Medium Bowl
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Measuring Cups
  • Wire Rack or Paper Towels

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the pumpkin seeds with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, cinnamon). Ensure the seeds are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the seasoned pumpkin seeds in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; work in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer and desired level of crispiness.
  5. Keep a close eye on them after 8 minutes, checking for doneness. The seeds should be golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once done, remove the pumpkin seeds from the air fryer and let them cool completely on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate. This helps them crisp up further.
  7. Store your crispy pumpkin seeds in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or other spices. You can also roast these in the oven at 300°F for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, if you don't have an air fryer.
