  • 1 pint Cherry or Grape Tomatoes
  • 8 ounces Fresh Mozzarella Balls (Bocconcini) small size
  • 1 bunch Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze or balsamic vinegar reduced on the stovetop
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Method
 

Instructions
  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf onto each skewer. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  3. Arrange the skewers on a plate or platter.
  4. Drizzle generously with extra virgin olive oil.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  6. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the skewers.
  7. Serve immediately or chill for later. These skewers are best served fresh.

Notes

For a variation, add a small piece of prosciutto or salami to each skewer for extra flavor. You can also use different types of cheese, such as burrata or fresh ricotta.
