- Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess grease.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and creamy.
- Transfer the mixture to an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetables.
Notes
For a spicier dip, use spicy sausage. You can also add other spices to taste, such as paprika or cayenne pepper. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
