3-Ingredient Sausage Cream Cheese Dip

  • 1 pound Breakfast Sausage Mild or spicy, your preference. Cooked and crumbled.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Or your favorite cheese, such as Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions Finely chopped, for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Or to taste

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  4. Transfer the mixture to an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetables.

Notes

For a spicier dip, use spicy sausage. You can also add other spices to taste, such as paprika or cayenne pepper. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
