- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off excess grease.
- Add the cooked sausage to the large bowl. Add Bisquick, milk, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and beaten egg.
- Gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls using a cookie scoop or your hands.
- Place the sausage balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or some chopped green onions. These sausage balls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
